Author's POV :
As soon as Ekantika came back into consciousness and saw Agastya, she started crying as Agastya hugged her.
"B-bhaiya... W-why me?" She spoke in between her crys.
Agastya let her cry in his embrace, stroking her hair, calming her down. Meanwhile the doctor and nurse stood there, watching the siblings.
After a few minutes as her crying turned to just sobbing, the doctor spoke, "We need to check her."
They checked Ekantika, prescribed some new meds and then attached another dose of glucose.
"She gained consciousness but as you already know her physical condition she can't afford to leave the hospital atleast for a week." The doctor stated.
They left to give the siblings their privacy.
"I am gonna message Mahir and Vaishali." Agastya spoke while already typing the message in his phone.
Ekantika just stared at the ceiling. Agastya sat beside her holding her hand.
No body spoke a word yet their feelings echoed in the room as if their hearts were talking to each other.
"Bhaiya" Ekantika said which came like a whisper.
"Ji bacha?" Agastya looked at her.
"Yk those men said something to me. They said you won't find me and come to rescue me." She spoke slowly and calming.
Agastya clenched the fist of his other hand to control himself. "You thought I wouldn't come for you?"
Ekantika shook her head in denial. "No! I knew, my heart knew, my soul knew you would come to save me and see you did save me." She smiled weakly.
Agastya broke down in tears at her words. "Nhi bachaa I failed you.. I couldn't save you... Agar main tumhe bacha leta to Aaj tumhari ye halat nhi hoti.. I am sorryy... I am a bad brother... I am sorry!"
She carefully lifted her hand to wipe his tears. "Nhi bhaiya... You saved me. You are the best brother! Don't ever say that! Agar aap zyada late krte to Aaj shayad main zinda nhi rehti. You did your best and ik you will punish them. Even I will. Enough of being weak, I will be strong now more strong."
As they both hugged each other, thanking God that they didn't lose each other Mahir, Vaishali and Diksha entered the room.
"Mahir bhai... Bhabhi..." Ekantika spoke breaking the hug.
Mahir rushed to her side, "Sitara! Oh My God! Thank god you came back into consciousness!" He caressed her hair and held her hand.
Diksha and Vaishali were already a bit emotional as they went near her.
"I am sorry baby! You had to go through that again!" Vaishali softly kissed her forehead.
Diksha simply took her hand from Mahir and traced slow patterns on it not saying anything. Her eyes were showing emotions which words could never.
Ekantika understood it. Everyone else as well.
"Mahir bhai, Diksha bhabhi, Vaishali bhabhi... I am fine now... I am safe and back with you that's all matters!" Ekantika spoke smiling weakly.
~~~Somewhere amidst all this~~~
"B*STARD! WHY DIDN'T YOU ALREADY KILL HER?!" A man shouted in frustration.
"WHY ME?! YOU COULD HAVE ALSO KILLED HER RIGHT?" The other one reciprocated in the same volume.
"Yes but who knew she would escape or they would find her? Leave it! We have to save ourselves from police! That ACP will cut out bodies in pieces and feed them to dog if he found out we two are the ones who raped her sister!" The previous man spoke in an unapologetic tone as if they didn't do anything wrong.
"That b*tch deserved it! She hasn't seen our faces that's a good thing!"
"That's true now let's go from here!"
They left.
~~~Back in the hospital~~~
"Bachaa.... Eat this!" Agastya spoke firmly bringing a spoon of khichdi towards her mouth.
"Ew bhaiya nhi! I will vomit!" Ekantika turned her face to the other side clearly not interested to eat that stuff.
"Ice cream khilaungi pls kha lo meri ma! Adhe ghante se mana raha hun!" Agastya literally whined like a child in frustration.
"Pakka ice cream khilaoge?"
Just then Mahir entered with a pack of ice cream. "Guys ye dekho main kya laya..."
Even before he could complete his sentence, Agastya snatched the packet from him showing it to Ekantika.
"Dekho ye raha ice cream! Ab ye last spoon kha lo!" He said.
"Aree bhaiiii meri koi izzat hai ya nhi... Thanks tak nhi bola!" Mahir joined in.
As Ekantika ate the last spoon, Agastya turned to Mahir. "Oyee Eki ko thoda sa ice cream dede main abhi aaya and Thanks Mr. Mahir" He bowed dramatically before leaving.
Mahir and Ekantika chuckled. As he served the ice cream, he spoke up. "Sitara he was so broken when he saw you in that state. Seeing him like this feels good. He is happy and grateful that you are fine."
"I know bhai... I know him really well. He acts all macho and strong but he is also a little baby from inside." She spoke smiling to herself.
As Mahir fed her the ice cream, he asked "Sitara can I ask something related to....."
"You can! I can not weak anymore bhai I gotta be strong. Strong enough to talk about it. Strong enough to fight for myself." She said firmly and confidently.
"That's like my Sitara!"
"And my bachaa!" Agastya added as he entered.
"Also Rakshit and Avni are coming to meet you" He further added sitting beside her.
"Hmm acha puchiye kya puchna tha?" Ekantika asked.
"Do you remember what exactly happened??" Mahir questioned feeding another spoon of ice cream.
"I --- I remember everything" Ekantika stuttered a bit recalling that night.
She narrated the whole incident patiently as both of them listened to her carefully trying to hide their anger.
"One thing is both of them had a tattoo on their neck... It was -- han it was of a vulture."
"VULTURE?!" Both of them said in shock as they looked at each other.
"K-kya hua?" Ekantika looked at them in confusion.
"Will tell you later Sitara!" Mahir gave a kiss on her forehead and went out fuming in anger.
Meanwhile Avni and Rakshit came to meet Ekantika. They got to know about it after 2 days and were devastated. Rakshit was even feeling guilty because he let her go alone that night.
